Message	your point. You wouldn't want to go from a 1 7/8" compressor to a 3" diameter pipe (you can't fit it anyway). IIRC, my downpipes are coned open at a 15^ angle. If you open the exhaust too much, too quickly, you lose exhaust velocity as the temperature drops. Gradual changes....gradual changes... When we coned from my 3" downpipe/testpipes to 2.5" exhaust, it was done at max change of 12%/inch for my downpipes. Therefore, it took 1.5" of cone to make the 3" -> 2.5" transition.
